Autor : Pastillo Ortiz, Jhennyfer Ariel
Descripción : This research studied the Tangible Cultural Heritage of the Historic Center of Latacunga, due to the lack of updated information on the heritage assets and their current state. A qualitative approach was used with bibliographic and field research. First, the historical, social, cultural and political aspects were analyzed, in the historical field, the natural events that have significantly affected the infrastructure in the city are highlighted; in the social sphere, it was found that the population is mostly mestizo (86.40%) and that the main economic sources are commerce and work in the public sector; culturally, the historic center was declared a National Heritage by the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (INPC) in 1982 and politically it is led by the democratically elected mayor. In addition, a comparison of the inventories was carried out, through the application of the methodological guide of the Comisión de la Verdad and the bibliographic review of the registry of the INPC documentation office of 1992, the SIPSE INPC (website) of 2013, the inventory of the Latacunga Municipal GAD of 2016 and the Tourism Plan 2030 of 2020. Obtaining a total of 154 records, of which 90 correspond to real estate, among which are religious, civil, modern and funerary architecture, they are registered in the 3 inventories and are located in private properties and in a state of deterioration. The remaining 64 correspond to movable property and are only registered in the INPC, they are located in the different churches of the historic center, among them it was possible to identify clothing, jewelry, wood art and painting, each of them has its own history, and they are declared in emergency (about to be damaged or completely lost). Finally, an informative guide to the tangible cultural heritage of the Historic Center of Latacunga was created, available in physical and digital format, which details the general information, opening hours, location and historical review. It can be concluded that cultural heritage is still scarcely studied and does not have conservation policies; therefore, it is important to deepen the search for information, and its dissemination to generate knowledge in the population and consequently create awareness about the importance of cultural heritage to improve its state of conservation.2024-02-01T00:00:00Z“Productos y atractivos turísticos del cantón Latacunga, Parroquia La Matriz”.
