| dc.description | The present research was carried out in the Salache Experimental Academic Center "CEYPSA" at Technical University of Cotopaxi. The general objective of the research was "To use the pulp of Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) verifying the effect on the performance of guinea pigs fattening to evaluate productive variables such as: gain weight, feed consumption, feed conversion, Mortality, cost – benefit ratio, this trial lasted six weeks. At the present study is used Pasta de Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) as part of guinea pigs diet growth-fattening stage of these animals, thus trying to present a food alternative for small and medium producers of guinea pigs and the exclusive use of forage retards the growth and finishing of this species. At this investigation the design was applied completely at random where 40 weanling Creole male guinea pigs of 4 weeks old were selected, 4 treatments were established with 2 repetitions of 5 animals each, the evaluated treatments were, treatment 1 (100% alfalfa) - treatment 2 (alfalfa + 5% Sacha Inchi Paste) -treatment 3 (alfalfa + 10% Sacha Inchi Paste) - treatment 4 (alfalfa + 15% Sacha Inchi Paste). At the end of the researching it was evidenced that fed guinea pigs with the inclusion of alfalfa + 15% of Sacha Inchi were the ones that reached the best weights compared to the rest of other treatments, having a similar behavior with the rest of the productive variables. Regarding the benefit-cost ratio, the treatment based on only alfalfa reached the best economic redito because for every dollar invested it was gotten 15 cents of profit, followed very closely by treatment 2 based on alfalfa + 5% of Pasta de Sacha Inchi. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación se realizó en el Centro Académico Experimental Salache “CEYPSA” de la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi. El objetivo general de la investigación fue “Utilizar la pasta de Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) verificando el efecto sobre el rendimiento de los cuyes de engorde para evaluar variables productivas como: incremento de peso, consumo de alimento, conversión alimenticia, índice de mortalidad, relación costo – beneficio, este ensayo tuvo una duración de seis semanas. En la presente investigación se utilizó Pasta de Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) como parte de la alimentación de cuyes durante la etapa de crecimiento- engorde de estos animales pretendiendo de este modo dar a conocer una alternativa alimenticia para los pequeños y medianos productores de cuyes ya que la utilización exclusiva de forraje retarda el crecimiento y acabado de esta especie. En esta investigación se aplicó el diseño completamente al azar para lo cual se seleccionaron 40 cuyes machos criollos destetados de 4 semanas de edad estableciéndose 4 tratamientos con 2 repeticiones de 5 animales cada uno, los tratamientos evaluados fueron, tratamiento 1 (100% alfalfa) – tratamiento 2 (alfalfa + 5% Pasta de Sacha Inchi) –tratamiento 3 (alfalfa + 10% Pasta de Sacha Inchi) – tratamiento 4 (alfalfa + 15% Pasta de Sacha Inchi).Al finalizar la investigación se evidencio que los cuyes alimentados con la inclusión de alfalfa + 15% de Pasta de Sacha Inchi fueron los que alcanzaron los mejores pesos comparado con el resto de los otros tratamientos teniendo un comportamiento similar con el resto de variables productivas. En cuanto a la relación Beneficio-Costo el tratamiento a base de solo alfalfa alcanzo el mejor rédito económico pues por cada dólar invertido obtengo 15 centavos de ganancia seguido muy cerca el tratamiento 2 a base de alfalfa + 5% de Pasta de Sacha Inchi. | es_ES |
