Resumen : En la presente investigación se desarrolló una Guía de fauna en el páramo de Rumipungo de la Comunidad Jatun Juiga Yacubamba, Cantón Pujilí, Provincia de Cotopaxi, para el desarrollo del diagnóstico del sito se realizó el levantamiento de información mediante fuentes primarias y secundarías, determinado el estado actual del sitio donde se evaluó la vegetación, gradiente altitudinal del Páramo, se determinaron zonas de estudios mediante observación directa, donde se detectaron presencia de especies, se establecieron tres senderos principales, Senderon1 “RIO COCHA”, Sendero 2 “REJA PUNGO”, Sendero 3 “RIO NAGSICHE”, durante 6 meses de investigación, Se utilizaron varios métodos de monitoreo de fauna como. transectos lineales, cámaras trampas, comederos y bebederos. Finalmente, se identificaron en los senderos especies de fauna a través del registro fotográfico, para realizar la identificación y caracterización taxonómica de las especies de aves se clasificaron de las siguiente manera: (orden, familia, nombre científico, nombre común, nombre en inglés) y el estado de conservación a través de revisión bibliografías, la biowed, del libro Guía de aves en Ecuador. Llegando así a obtener el siguiente resultado, la Orden con el mayor numero de especies fue la Passeriforme que representa el 69% del total de ordenes registradas, con 11 especies, la especie mas representativa es Mosquero bermellón (Pyrocephalus rubinus) el que se encuentra en estado de conservación menor preocupante (LC), La familia Apodiformes con el 25% de especie que representa 4, Accipitiformes 6% especies que representa 1 que es el Águila Pechinegra Geranoaetus melanoleucus que se encuentra en estado Vulnerable (VU). Los mamíferos que se identificaron fueron: 1 carnivora y 1 lagomorpha la especie casi amenazada es el conejo andino. En los anfibios se identificaron 3 especies que corresponde a una familia por especie de las cuales una de las especies se encuentra en estado vulnerabilidad y esta dentro de la familia Dendrobatidae. La especie nativa del lugar es Gastrotheca pseutes de la familia. Hemiphractidae el estado de conservación es de preocupación menor (LC). En los reptiles Se identificaron 2 especies de la familia Squamata Sauria el estado de conservación es menor(LC) de la familia Gymnophthalmidae. Con la sistematizacion de la información obtenida se elaboro una Guía de fauna del Páramo Rumipungo del Cantón Pujilí, Provincia de Cotopaxi con el objetivo de dar a conocer la fauna existente en el área, por consecuencia servirá como una herramienta de información con el propósito de generar interés en los turistas y en el futuro desarrollar un espacio de observación de fauna.
Descripción : In the present research, a Wildlife Guide was developed in the Rumipungo moor of the Jatun Juiga Yacubamba Community, Canton Pujilí, Cotopaxi Province, for the development of the diagnosis of the site, the information was gathered through sources secondary and secondary, determined the current state of the site where the vegetation was evaluated, altitude gradient of the Páramo, determined areas of study carried out by direct and indirect observation, where influx of species were detected, was detected established three main trails, Senderon1 "RIO COCHA", Path 2 "REJA PUNGO", Path 3 "RIO NAGSICHE", during 6 months of research, The methodology that was used were linear transect monitoring units, trap chambers, feeders and Drinkers. Finally, the photographic register, where different species of fauna were recorded on the trails, to perform their respective identification and taxonomic characterization (order, family, scientific name, common name, name in English) and their state of conservation through revision of bibliographies, biowed, from the book Bird Guide in Ecuador. Thus obtaining the following result of the fauna species of the moor, the species that were most recorded are birds with the family asseriformes with 69% representing 11 species, the representative species is Musketeer vermilion Pyro (Pyrocephalus rubinus) is is in a minor-and-a-child condition (LC), Pechinegra Eagle Geranoaetus melanoleucus. is in vulnerable state (VU). The family Apodiformes with 25% species representing 4 Accipitiformes 6% species representing 1. The mammals identified 1 carnivora and 1 lagomorpha the near-threatened species Andean rabbit. Amphibians were identified 3 species which one of the species is in a vulnerable state is the family Dendrobatidae. The native species of the place is the family. Hemiphractidae its state of conservation, Minor concern (LC). Reptiles I identify 2 reptile species in the family Squamata Sauria their conservation (LC) of the family Gymnophthalmidae. almost threatened: Guide to the fauna of the Rumipungo Wasteland of The Canton of Pujili, Cotopaxi Province. The development of this guide is to take advantage of the faunistic resources of the research site, as a result it will serve as an information tool for tourism support and for researchers to acquire information on the classification of the this guide also promotes the improvement in the development of the community's tourism activities.
