The objective of this study was analyze the effect of filgrastim® (r-Met-Hu-G-CSF) in the production and mobilization of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) in the guinea pig species, for it was conducted applying three different dosage of 5 mg, 10 mg, and 15 mg of filgrastim® compared with a control group (control) in each treatment was work with Peru line at 5 male guinea pigs, two months old, weighing 800-1000 grams. | dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación se realizó en la provincia de Cotopaxi, cantón Latacunga, Parroquia Eloy Alfaro, barrio Salache Grande en el Centro de Experimentación y Producción Salache (CEYPSA) de la Unidad Académica de Ciencias Agropecuarias y Recursos Naturales (UA-CAREN). El objetivo de éste estudio fue analizar el efecto del filgrastim® (r-Met-Hu-G-CSF) en la producción y movilización de células madre hematopoyéticas (CMH) en la especie cobaya, para ello se llevó a cabo la aplicación de tres diferentes dosis 5 μg, 10 μg, y 15 μg de filgrastim comparado con un grupo control (testigo); en cada tratamiento se trabajó con 5 cobayos de línea Perú, de 2 meses de edad, peso de 800-1000 gr. y sexo macho. Se aplicaron las dosis establecidas vía subcutánea durante 4 días consecutivos con intervalos de 24 horas.
