Descripción : This research study was conducted in Malchinguí Parish, Pedro Moncayo Canton, Pichincha Province, with the purpose of evaluating the integrated management system for the collection of non-hazardous solid waste, to determine its current operation and implement alternatives for its optimization. Regarding the problem, there is inadequate waste management, mainly in the collection service because this service does not cover the entire population due to the lack of frequency and storage of transport, as well as population growth, resulting in a constant increase of waste. Therefore, the methodology was based on the current diagnosis of solid waste in the parish, with the help of the Arc GIS 10.2.2 program and the Google Earth system, which allowed for the updating of collection routes. The PPC (Production per capita) was also determined to analyze the quantities of generation, collection, and final disposal, in order to establish a proposal for the integrated solid waste management system. The bibliographic, descriptive, analytical, qualitative, and quantitative methods were applied, together with techniques and instruments such as information provided by the Municipal Government of Pedro Moncayo (Department of Environmental Management), surveys, direct observation, and field trips. Therefore, the results obtained allowed us to identify the per capita production of waste with an average of 0.49 kg in daily generation per individual, which, when multiplied by the 6033 inhabitants, yielded a figure of 2956.17 kg of waste generated daily in the entire population. In addition, in the classification, an average of 39.22 kg in organic and 64.39 kg in inorganic waste was obtained, which means that about 62% of the waste is inorganic in the entire parish, which consists of 20 urban and rural neighborhoods. Therefore, a proposal was made to redesign routes, install new solid waste containers, and provide training to raise awareness among residents. Finally, it was determined that the Integrated Waste Management System covers most of the population; however, there are sectors that still have deficiencies and it is important to take into account the research to optimize the effectiveness of the service.
