This was a descriptive-quantitative study. The technique of data collection was a survey with a Likert scale questionnaire that was taken from Calderón (2024). The questions consisted of students’ perceptions with Likert scale format and about students' preferences with multiple choice answers. The participants were 28 females and 12 males aged between 19 to 29. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics tables. The results showed that regarding students' perceptions, they appreciate when their teachers provide feedback on their speaking. Regarding students' preferences, they prefer their teachers to let them know when they make mistakes. In conclusion, this research shows that considering the preferences and perceptions of students significantly benefits their improvement. Feedback helps them recognize and correct errors, identify weak areas, and promote independent learning. The integration of these preferences in teaching strategies leads to better language development and improvements in speaking.
