At this process, teachers play a crucial role, guiding and supporting students at every step. Since, some students have difficulties when they learn, and since all human beings have different learning rhythms, especially in reading and writing process, it is necessary to attend to all the educational needs that arise. However, few teachers can correctly recognize these types of problems in the classroom. Therefore, the research objective was to characterize learning rhythms for reading and writing improvement the second grade at “Loja” Basic Education School, Eloy Alfaro parish, Latacunga canton, Cotopaxi province, school 2023 – 2024 year. The study is qualitative in nature, bibliographic, descriptive and field research was used, with an interpretive paradigm, inductive methods and techniques were used: interview and observation, using the interview guide and the observation guide respectively as instruments. Among the obtained results, it is determined that food, nutrition, family environment and context are collateral factors that affect learning rhythms, influence the factors of reading and writing.
