- Item“Equilibrio entre trabajo-familia en la cooperativa de ahorro y crédito Sumak Kawsay”.(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Ante Taipe, William Santiago; Guaman Maisincho, Joselyn Giselle; Villarroel Maya, Ángel AlbertoLately, balancing work and family duties within public or private companies, among the labor force, both administrative and workers in general, has become a fundamental challenge that requires urgent attention, especially within Ecuadorian's financial institutions. Therefore, the objective of this enquiry is to analyze the balance between work and family inside the employees of the “Sumak Kawsay” Credit Union. A quantitative approach was used with a non-experimental design and a descriptive scope. The methodology includes a bibliographic review, and covers all 75 employees of the aforementioned cooperative. The data collection technique was the survey, using the Survey Work-Home Interaction-Nijmegen (SWING) questionnaire adapted to Spanish by (Jiménez et al., 2009). The results of the questionnaire, which assessed four dimensions (negative work-family interaction, negative family-work interaction, positive work-family interaction, and positive family-work interaction), show that the majority of respondents reported low levels of negative work-family interaction (48%), while negative interaction family-work was 80%. This indicates that family and work demands, have minimal impact on their respective areas. Furthermore, it was found that 49.3% of employees believe that work dynamics have a positive interaction with family, compared to 69.3% who believe that family dynamics have a positive work interaction. According to the results of this inquiry, we can conclude that the workers of the Sumak Kawsay Credit Union generally have a good balance between their work and family life.
