Self-esteem plays an important role in the child's integral development since it influences emotional, social, and cognitive well-being. The research problem arises from the teacher's lack of interest in the students' state of mind, thus causing demotivation and learning difficulties. The objective of this research was to determine the factors that affect self-esteem in the children's integral development in sixth grade parallel “F” of the “Victoria Vásconez Cuvi - Simón Bolívar - Elvira Ortega” Educational Unit of the Latacunga canton, school year 2023-2024. The methodology was based on the quantitative approach, with descriptive research, non-experimental design, and deductive method, the technique used was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire, which was applied to 38 students and 1 teacher, considering that the data collected were detailed and provide truthful information to the research. The results obtained through the application of the instrument showed that the level of children's self-esteem is low, since there is not an adequate environment in the classroom, creating insecurities in the students, fear, changes in their moods, and little self-acceptance. That is why it has been necessary to propose a guide of playful activities to improve the students' self-esteem and simultaneously facilitate the teacher's and student's role in the teaching-learning process.

(Ecuador : Latacunga : Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Jaguaco Bonifa, Alba del Rocio; Lagla Flores, Melany Dayana; Barbosa Zapata, José Nicolas
The present research work addresses active strategies for students to develop and strengthen their creative side, the objective was to identify graph-plastic techniques and their influence on the creativity of second grade children at the Ludoteca Basic Education School, located in the canton. Latacunga during the 2023–2024 school year. For this, a qualitative approach was used, with a descriptive type of research, and the inductive method, in terms of the technique used, it was the observation carried out on the children and the interview directed at the classroom teacher, together with the instruments: guide of observation and interview guide. The results obtained from the diagnosis reflected that graph-plastic techniques positively attribute to the development of creativity, as long as they are applied appropriately; however, the inappropriate use of some techniques fails to stimulate creativity. For this reason, the proposal "Guide to activities based on graph-plastic techniques: Exploring my creativity" is proposed, which contains attractive and motivating activities, as they will help stimulate the creativity of children, through the use of different techniques that awaken the imagination, interest and autonomy of the infant. In conclusion, graph-plastic techniques allow children to express their emotions, ideas and encourage creative and innovative thinking.
