    “Estudio Ergonómico para el `personal administrativo del área de servicios de agua potable y alcantarillado del GADMIC del cantón Saquisili para la prevención de enfermedades Musculoesqueléticos ”.

    This research project focuses on an ergonomic study conducted in the water and sewerage services area of GADMIC in Saquisilí canton, with the aim of optimizing the working conditions of the administrative staff and preventing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The issue addressed is justified by the growing prevalence of these disorders among administrative workers, who are more prone to such conditions due to prolonged sitting, repetitive movements, and poor posture throughout their workday. The investigation began with a review of scientific literature from reliable sources such as theses, books, and scientific articles, considering global, regional, and local perspectives. Following this, a detailed assessment was carried out on each employee, examining the ergonomic risks present in the workplace. The "Standardized Nordic Questionnaire" was used, revealing that tendinitis and lower back pain were among the primary musculoskeletal disorders identified in the study group. Additionally, the ROSA and RULA methods were employed to further analyze the work environment and the postures assumed by workers during their workday. Finally, an ergonomic risk prevention manual was proposed as a guide to optimize workplace conditions and enhance worker well-being.
