To carry out the study, a quantitative approach with a descriptive analysis was applied, focusing on a universe of 57 supervisors, one for each chicken distributor. An instrument previously validated in Osores' research (2020) was used, covering two variables: the first consisted of 10 questions on organizational leadership, with modifications to the original instrument, and the second consisted of 10 questions on productivity, keeping the questionnaire unchanged. Both questionnaires were addressed to supervisors and were assessed using a Likert scale from 1 to 5, where 1 represents ‘never’ and 5 ‘always’, and were administered face-to-face. The results showed a positive perception of leadership, as 70% of the supervisors were willing to address the concerns of their team. In addition, training and the ability to exceed expectations were found to be key factors influencing productivity, underlining the need for supervisors to strengthen these areas. In conclusion, effective organizational leadership is essential to increase productivity in poultry distributors. Therefore, it is recommended to improve leadership training, establish more consistent recognition and feedback systems, and promote continuous training for employees, as these strategies can contribute to boosting team morale, optimizing performance and improving efficiency in the sector.
