For this reason it is expanding research and field work by the use of this type of energy, having as main features the environmental and economic benefit. Today, technological advances have allowed the development of an efficient and rapid installation of equipment and accessories to generate independent power that provides the same features that conventional energy. This research focuses on power generation based on the utilization of solar radiation through photovoltaic panels allow feeding an automatic irrigation system. The design and implementation of a solar energy system for automatic watering reduces the time of man hours in overseeing irrigation and the use of natural resources such solar energy for irigation in the green spaces of the Technical University of Cotopaxi. Taking advantage of the feasibility study it has been obtained as average radiation 896.94W / m2 on Campus, which was allowed to dimension the elements and equipment such as solar panels, controller, battery, inverter and an automatic irrigation pump in an area of 12 meters. He was installed as approximately 435 W power as a source of electricity generation and all the energy is stored in a cell accumulation will happen inverter to power a 370W pump produces a pressure of 15 psi for irrigation in the aforementioned area. The implementation of this system provides energy independent of conventional power grid with optimum irrigation project site. This project is aimed at continuously improving these systems and care of the environment.
