- ItemModelo matemático de un sistema fotovoltaico para búsqueda del punto de máxima potencia(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi: (UTC), 2024-08) Moreta Crespo, Esteban Santiago; Castillo, Jessica NatalyThe aim this research was to develop a mathematical model based on mixed integer linear programming (MILP), for identifying the maximum power point (MPP) in photovoltaic systems. The need getting the MPP, through simpler methods, such as mixed integer linear programming, due to the water resources scarcity in hydroelectric plants and failures by maintenance lack. For this purpose, it was used the Matlab program, specifically the Simulink tool to implement the mathematical model. It was got a database from NASA's POWER DATA ACCESS VIEWER to collect information about irradiance and temperature. Then, it was linearized the photovoltaic system voltage and current parameters, thus getting the delta variable (work relation), which was optimized to find the MPP. The performance from MILP algorithm was assessed, through the ISE performance index and compared with the conventional Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm. The results demonstrated, what the P&O algorithm presented a higher error, while the MILP algorithm turned out to be more efficient, it is shown, which mixed integer linear programming can be a viable alternative to find the MPP in photovoltaic systems. This research evinced, what is not needed a nin-depth knowledge about MPPT to develop effective methods, since the proposed MILP model achieved better results than the algorithms used by the scientific community. This simplified approach not only improved the efficiency from photovoltaic system, but also offered a practical solution in front to the renewable energy growing demand.
