The objective of this research is to promote interculturality in the educational process to rescue cultures and traditions in the “Federico González Suárez” Educational Unit in children in the fifth year of Basic Education. For this, the methodology used had a quantitative approach, the type of research is descriptive, with the application of the deductive method, the technique applied was the survey that was applied to 5 teachers who are tutors of the 3 fifth grade parallels of EGB and 2 teachers who teach the subject of Cultural and Artistic Education and Physical Education and 38 children from the fifth grade of EGB parallel "B" since the data obtained through the surveys applied to teachers and students were tabulated and represented in tables and statistical graphs . The results have allowed us to corroborate that there is a deficiency in intercultural practices due to the adoption of fashions, music and celebrations that are not typical of our culture. Technology and video games have also played an important role in this context, causing a deviation in the educational process, since that children have distorted certain learning typical of our reality. It can be concluded that the concepts, practices and customs of the Andean and Ecuadorian culture have been minimized, causing a deficiency that affects educational processes.
