- ItemFactores de riesgos psicosociales en la cooperativa de ahorro y crédito Sumak Kawsay ltda.(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Cacuango Gómez, Ivonne Nayeli; Chaluisa Sanchez, Maria Yolanda; Herrera Albarracín, Roberto CarlosThe research entitled "Psychosocial Risk Factors at Sumak Kawsay Ltda. Savings and Credit Cooperative" aimed to determine psychosocial factors that affect workers of this cooperative. Specifically, it sought to identify critical dimensions of psychosocial risks, present and develop strategies for their mitigation, in order to improve work environment and collaborators performance. The used methodology in the project was based on the quantitative approach, with a non-experimental and descriptive research design. For data collection, FPSICO 4.1 tool of National Institute of Safety and Health at Work (INSST) of Spain was used, a method of evaluating psychosocial factors was applied through surveys directed to a total of 76 collaborators and 69 responses obtained from the cooperative. The sociodemographic data and the responses to the questionnaire allowed a detailed analysis of working conditions and psychosocial risks in the institution. The reliability of the instrument was guaranteed through the rigorous application of established standards by FPSICO 4.1. The obtained results revealed that Sumak Kawsay Cooperative presents high indices in several dimensions: 43.5% of collaborators report an excessive workload, while 48% face high or very high risks related to working time. In addition, the psychological demands are significant, contributing to high levels of stress and emotional exhaustion among the staff. Regarding participation and supervision, an imbalance was identified that negatively affects job satisfaction and commitment. The proposed mitigation strategies include the implementation of conscious work promotion, periodic review of the workload, leadership rotation in projects, development of a role clarity portal. It is concluded that adequately addressing these psychosocial factors can significantly improve the productivity and efficiency of the cooperative, as well as job satisfaction of its employees. A positive working environment is essential to maintain the quality of service offered to members and ensure cooperative long-term sustainability.
