- Item“Diseño y simulación de un sistema hibrido eólico-fotovoltaico para el abastecimiento energético”(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi: (UTC), 2024-8) Farez Chuquitarco Diego Sebastián; Chicaiza Cando Erik Fabian; Jiménez Jiménez Diego LeonardoThe present thesis consists of the design and simulation of a hybrid wind-photovoltaic system with the purpose of implementing a prototype that can be used to charge electronic equipment, using non-conventional renewable energy without connection to the electricity network, due to the need presented by the users of public transport in rural areas and also the lack of electricity service because of the energy cuts presented in the country by the energy crisis. Considering these aspects in this thesis a meteorological study is carried out in order to dimension the system from the behavior of the date of the wind speed and the solar radiation of a month under real measurements and extrapolating the date to a year from the Monte Carlo Method. Similarly, by estimating the electric charge and based on the technical characteristics of the elements available on the market, a design for the wind-photovoltaic hybrid system is proposed. A simulation of the prototype is then carried out in the Simulink software integrating all the elements of the system, and by using the characteristic equations of the solar panels, as well as the wind turbine, the operation validation is performed. Finally, it is achieved that when the battery is charged to 100% the system produces 120 VAC and 378 W of power enough to supply the proposed demand of 200 W achieving a functional and efficient design for its future implementation.
