    “Diseño de un geoportal con sistemas de información geográfica que permita visualizar las estructuras agrícolas y zonas productivas de Aloasí y Machachi, cantón Mejía”

    The research project focuses on the design of a geoportal through the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for the visualization and management of agricultural infrastructure and productive areas in the Aloasí and Machachi parishes, Mejía Canton, Province of Pichincha. The main problem is the lack of geospatial tools and detailed information about small and medium-sized producers, which complicates the efficient and sustainable planning of agricultural resources in the region. The objective of the project is to develop a digital platform that integrates spatial data, information on agricultural production and the extent of land, facilitating the accurate identification of productive areas and supporting decision-making by farmers, planners and local authorities. The geoportal was developed in three phases: planning, development and completion, using GIS and ArcGIS Online tools for data collection, analysis and visualization. The result is a geoportal that allows to visualize the agricultural infrastructure and productive areas of Aloasí and Machachi in a precise and accessible way, optimizing territorial management and planning. This work establishes an innovative model for the application of geospatial technologies in regional agricultural planning, contributing to sustainable development and food security in the province of Pichincha. Furthermore, it is expected that the geoportal can be replicated in other regions of the country, improving agricultural management and promoting a more efficient use of natural resources in Ecuador.
