- ItemAnálisis litológico de la composición mineral del campus experimental CEYPSA para determinar materiales edafológicos en la remediación de suelos y agua.”(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi: (UTC), 2024-08) Davalos Constante, Mateo Esteban; Manobanda Tiban, Steven Fernando; Ágreda Oña, José LuisMinerals play a crucial role in natural of soil and water purification. The fundamental objective of this research was to know lithology campus Salache to determine environmental inputs focused on remediation of water and soil resources, the adsorption capacity of rocks with ions such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, arsenic, which they can be found in soils both naturally and due to human activities; and different ions were found as components of wastewater. The methodology for testing ionic removal performance demonstrated prediction graphs indicating contaminant retention in soils. A specific study with soil rich in basalt, pumice and limestone was carried out with a type of soil rich in 30% basalt, 60% pumina and 10% limestone. To collect significant samples, composite sampling with a grid of 100m of distance was used to collect representative samples. 22 samples were obtained, and then the ions adsorption in each soil was evaluated at the laboratory level. Each gram of rock sample was subjected to a solution of 500 µg/L arsenic, 240 mg/L Ca, K and Mg for different time intervals to study the adsorption and desorption of minerals. The results indicated 70% adsorption and 10% desorption in cations, such as calcium (Ca+), magnesium (Mg+) and potassium (K++), showing efficiency improvements up to 97 percent in removal.
