    Educación financiera y toma de decisiones en los emprendimientos de educación secundaria en la provincia de Cotopaxi, cantón La Maná

    Financial education is a training area related to the development of skills for resource management and decision-making. The objective of the research was to analyze the relationship between financial education and decision-making in the entrepreneurship of secondary school students in the canton of La Maná, province of Cotopaxi. A quantitative approach was used, with a descriptive-correlational scope and a non-experimental crosssectional design. The population included 3,314 students and the sample consisted of 344 participants, selected through stratified probability sampling. The information was collected using a structured questionnaire with a Likert-type scale, validated by expert judgment and a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.902. The students showed knowledge about saving, planning and resource management; however, difficulties persisted in applying these competencies in financial control, budgeting, recording income and expenditure, and managing their enterprises. Spearman's Rho test showed a high positive correlation between financial education and decision-making (Rho = 0.981; p < 0.001), evidencing a statistically significant association between both variables. Initiatives were proposed to strengthen financial and entrepreneurial skills from the educational field.
