    “Diseño de un sistema de gestión de riesgos ergonómicos para el área de mecanizado de la empresa TORNINOX”

    The study focused on the development of an ergonomic risk management system with the aim of promoting the health and safety of workers in the machining area of the Torninox company. An applied and descriptive research was carried out, with a quantitative approach, to identify and evaluate the ergonomic risk factors present in the work environment. As data collection instruments, an observation sheet was used to compile information on the roles and activities of the operators, as well as the survey of the risks present. A questionnaire was applied to each of the workers who operate the lathe, milling machine and drill in order to know their perspective on the ergonomic risks to which they are exposed and the consequences. For the initial assessment of the risks, the NTP 330 risk matrix was considered, which was generated through the determination of parameters such as exposure levels (NE) and efficiency (ND) with which the probability level (NP) was calculated, to subsequently obtain the risk level (NR). The ergonomic assessment methods OWAS, REBAS and RULAS were used to analyse the postures adopted by the operators. The results revealed that operators in these machining areas adopt postures that do not comply with the recommended ergonomic standards, which can lead to a series of musculoskeletal problems, with the survey showing that 100% of them even state that they feel some type of discomfort or pain in specific areas of the body at the end of their working day. These inadequate postures, observed in the handling of tools and the performance of repetitive tasks, show a continuous exposure to ergonomic risks, with risk levels (NR) of 1000 and Consequence Level (NC) of 25, classified as serious. The assessments using the OWAS, RULA and REBA methods allowed determining that the activity given by the adjustment of small parts in a milling machine is one of the most critical with a score of 4 because the operator adopts a non-ergonomic posture with bent legs, a bent back with a turn and requires efforts to adjust the equipment. Therefore, it is concluded that it is imperative to implement corrective and prevention strategies to mitigate the identified risks and improve working conditions. The adoption of corrective measures, such as the reconfiguration of work stations and training in ergonomic techniques, is essential to guarantee a safer and healthier work environment for operators.
