The main objective of this research was to determine the sustainable urban mobility management through the electromobility as a mitigation alternative to climate change in Latacunga Canton. An exhaustive search for information on externalities in the urban mobility system, road sustainability and the viability of electromobility as an alternative was conducted. The methodology used was qualitative and it included literature review, analysis of interviews, which were conducted with five trained people in urban mobility and electromobility, as well as the analysis of 384 surveys conducted with a representative sample of the population. The results revealed that 44.8% of the people polled were able to identify traffic, pollution, and traffic congestion as remarkable barriers to urban mobility in the city, suggesting the implementation of government strategies to ensure sustainable mobility. However, 72.9% of the people polled were unaware of the environmental benefits of an electric vehicle compared to a traditional one, indicating a lack of knowledge and environmental awareness. Finally, a proposal for sustainable urban mobility was developed through electromobility as a strategic axis for the future in the political, economic, social, and environmental spheres. It can be concluded that sustainable mobility through electromobility improves the quality of life and reduces air pollution from fossil fuels, promoting a city resilient to climate change.
