- ItemProducción del cultivo de pimiento (Capsicum annuum L.) con la aplicación de diferentes fitohormonas.(Ecuador : La Maná Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Guananga Bermeo, Bryan Paúl; Guadamud Guanín, Geovanny Gabriel; Quinatoa Lozada, Eduardo FabiánThe research work was carried out in the “El Carmen” Sector in La Maná Canton, Cotopaxi Province, whose objective was to evaluate the production of the pepper crop (Capsicum annum) with the application of different phytohormones, using a randomized complete block design (RCBD), with five treatments and five repetitions, which makes up a total of 25 experimental units. In addition, agronomic variables that were of great importance in the cultivation of pepper were evaluated, such as plant height (cm), stem diameter (mm), number of flowers (unit), number of fruits per plant (unit), diameter and length of fruit (cm), weight of fruits per treatment (kg) and yield (kg/ha). The most notable results at 60 days were obtained with the brassinosteroid treatment in each of the variables evaluated, being the one that presented statistically high values compared to the other therapies, plant height 52.39 cm, stem diameter 1.18 cm, number of flowers 6.97 flowers, number of fruits per plant 5.97, diameter and length of fruit 5.39 and 12.15 cm—weight of fruits per treatment 6.84 kg and a yield of 14,615.38 kg/ha. Regarding the economic analysis, the treatment that obtained the highest gross income was brassinosteroids with $12.17, with a total cost of $11.72, in the case of cost-benefit, T1 cytokinins obtained a value of $0.28, with phytohormones being a reliable alternative for pepper production.
