Therefore, the objective of this enquiry is to analyze the balance between work and family inside the employees of the “Sumak Kawsay” Credit Union. A quantitative approach was used with a non-experimental design and a descriptive scope. The methodology includes a bibliographic review, and covers all 75 employees of the aforementioned cooperative. The data collection technique was the survey, using the Survey Work-Home Interaction-Nijmegen (SWING) questionnaire adapted to Spanish by (Jiménez et al., 2009). The results of the questionnaire, which assessed four dimensions (negative work-family interaction, negative family-work interaction, positive work-family interaction, and positive family-work interaction), show that the majority of respondents reported low levels of negative work-family interaction (48%), while negative interaction family-work was 80%. This indicates that family and work demands, have minimal impact on their respective areas. Furthermore, it was found that 49.3% of employees believe that work dynamics have a positive interaction with family, compared to 69.3% who believe that family dynamics have a positive work interaction. According to the results of this inquiry, we can conclude that the workers of the Sumak Kawsay Credit Union generally have a good balance between their work and family life.
