Its responsible use facilitates digital skills development and has proven effective in personalizing teaching, optimizing administrative tasks, and supporting research processes. However, it has become evident that there still needs to be more knowledge about how they work and the appropriate use of the different artificial intelligence tools due to the lack of training acquired by teachers, either because of a lack of it or because of their disinterest. In this sense, the objective of this research is to promote the use of artificial intelligence in the empowerment of teachers' digital competencies in the management of innovation and communication technologies (ICT) in the "Belisario Quevedo" Educational Unit, Pujilí parish, Pujilí canton, Cotopaxi province, during the 2023-2024 school year. The methodology used is based on the qualitative approach; its design is content analysis as descriptive analysis matrices were used to determine categories; the theoretical method is inductive, and for information collection, the interview technique was used with the interview guide instrument aimed at teachers. The results offer a diagnosis of the weaknesses and limitations of teachers about the application of artificial intelligence. The main contribution is a methodological guide that includes a set of versatile digital tools for educational tasks to strengthen teachers' digital competencies.
