    Plan de negocios para la creación de un hotel de cuatro estrellas en la parroquia Ignacio Flores de la ciudad de Latacunga provincia de Cotopaxi

    The research project developed as a degree project, corresponds to a business plan, which analyses the technical, operational and economic feasibility of the investment. The objective was to design a business plan for the creation of a four-stars hotel in the Ignacio Flores parish in Latacunga city, Cotopaxi province. A market study was used as a methodology, with a quantitative approach. The data was collected through a survey, based on a structured questionnaire in : 4 items referring to demographic information and 11 questions with 38 items under the Likert scale focused on the market segment. The questionnaire was validated through Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0,95, which defines it as a reliable instrument for the study. The population was selected on the basis of geographic, economic, demographic, social and occupational characteristics, segmenting to 453 people who residing in the Latacunga canton, who are economically active, between the ages of 18 and 70, who are in the middle to high economic class and who occupy positions as directors or managers. Based on this estimate, the sample was calculated using the logical formula, with a margin of error of 4% and a confidence level of 96%, this analysis yielded a total of 268 subjects to whom the instrument was applied online with the diffution of the link on social networks. The main results indicate a positive net present value at year 5 of USD 481.586,07, an internal rate of return of 43,27%, a payback period of 2 years, 9 months, 27 days and a cost-benefit ratio of USD 2,24. Such financial indicators reached positive data, it was then concluded that the investment project is feasible for implementation
