This present research is focused on evaluating the effect of the fungus Beauveria bassiana as a biological control agent of the black weevil (Cosmopolites sordidus) and striped weevil (Metamasius hemipterus) in mosaic crops. The objective was to evaluate the effect of Beauveria bassiana as a biological control agent of weevils in mosaic varieties. The randomized complete block design with a 7x4 factorial arrangement was used, with seven varieties and four doses, for 28 treatments. Agronomic variables of weevil trapping in Musaceae were evaluated by number of weevils per treatment, number of colonized insects, the efficacy of the doses, identification of the weevil species found, and economic analysis; the most relevant results obtained were in the number of black and striped weevils in the purple and orito varieties with the 300cc dose of Beauveria bassiana, and the number of insects colonized with Beauveria bassiana was the dose of 200cc with 11. 04% of black weevils and 12.23% of striped weevils, the efficacy of the treatment on black weevils was the dose of 100cc with 34.38%, and on striped weevils, the dose of 300cc with 36.89%, as for the identification of the weevil species found, no more species were found in terms of black and striped weevils. The establishment costs of the 200cc dose were 49.12 dollars and presented as the most beneficial option for farmers in the colonization of weevils.
