    “Eficacia de 4 fungicidas para el control de moho gris (bOTRYTIS CINÉREA) en el cultivo de rosas (ROSA SP)

    Ecuador established small farms that housed a wide variety of flower species including roses (Rosa sp.), which have pathogens that have affected them, including Botrytis cinerea, which is one of the main diseases that harm crops, generating significant economic losses, hence the need to carry out this research, which was set as an objective to evaluate the effectiveness of 4 fungicides for the control of gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) in the cultivation of roses (Rosa sp.). This research was carried out on the Rosahen farm, located in the Cochasqui sector of the Tocachi parish, Pedro Moncayo canton, Pichincha province, Ecuador, the fungicides used in the experiment were: boscalid + cyprodinil 0.75 cc / lt, boscalid 1 g / lt, thiabenzole 0.70 cc / lt and thiophanate 0.50 cc / lt; the test was carried out in four beds of 32 m long by 0.75 m wide, with a total of 15 experimental units per repetition, the distribution of the treatments in the field was done randomly; to evaluate the effectiveness of the fungicides the variance (Anova) According to the results obtained, the severity indexes show the percentage of infection of the flower buds, showing in the first data collection that in block 1 there was 13.5% severity, in block 2 there was 10.7% severity, and in block 3 there was 7.85% severity; After the first application of the fungicides, after 7 days the second data collection of the severity of the infection was carried out, showing results in block 1 of 5.5%, in block 2 of 6.15% and in block 3 of 6.45%; then the second application of the fungicides was carried out, and the third data collection was carried out, registering in block 1 of 1.4%, in block 2 of 1.3% and in block 3 of 2.4% of severity. Subsequently, the results of efficacy were obtained according to the effectiveness shown by the treatments applied, evidencing that T1 resulted with 0.37% efficacy, T2 with 0.18% efficacy and T3 was recorded with a value of 0.35% efficacy, which determined the effectiveness of the treatments applied. 35% efficacy, which determined that the first treatment T1 boscalid+cyprodinil showed the most effective result, followed by the third treatment T3 thiabendazole and thiophanate methyl, reporting a significant behavior improving its level of efficacy with the first treatment and the third treatment, proved to be effective and efficient fungicides in the control and mitigation of Botrytis cinerea in the rose crop.
