Currently, the study and practice of the English language is a necessity due to globalization in communication, marketing, and cultural exchange from one hemisphere to another. This justifies the present work, which suggests active learning techniques for this area of study in schools.

The following work gathers information about the causes that impact in the lack of practice of the speaking in the English language of the Tenth Year, of the Technological Institute Ramon Barba Naranjo. The different evaluation instruments which were applied, such as: surveys and interviews, they allow us to analyze and determine the main causes that impact in the development of the learning in order to improve the ability of the speaking in the English language.
