“Estudio de la calidad de energía en el sistema eléctrico del estadio Banco Guayaquil perteneciente al equipo de fútbol Independiente del Valle”
(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi: (UTC), 2024-08) Pallasco Guasti, Jonathan Joel; Quishpe Cundulli, Edison David; Pesantez Palacios, Gabriel Napoleón
The main objective of this research work was to evaluate and improve the power quality in the electrical system of the Banco Guayaquil Stadium belonging to the Independiente del Valle soccer team. For this purpose, the power quality analysis was carried out. Through this procedure, problems related to harmonic distortion, voltage imbalance and rapid voltage disturbances (flicker) were identified. These problems not only compromised energy efficiency, but also affected operational stability during sporting events and shows. To address these challenges, a methodology based on an inductive-deductive approach was implemented. This methodology included the exhaustive collection of data from the stadium's electrical circuits. In order to verify the existing power quality conditions in the stadium, a network analyzer was used, and each electrical parameter was analyzed in accordance with ARCERNNR 002/20 regulations. In addition, detailed simulations were performed using specialized software, allowing the evaluation of different technical solutions to mitigate power quality problems. The results of the study revealed that the current harmonic distortion levels exceeded the recommended limits, mainly affecting the first transformer dedicated to the stadium lighting. Furthermore, a low power factor was detected, indicating an inefficient use of energy and an increase in electrical losses. The implementation of a passive filter was proposed as the most viable solution to reduce these distortions, which was corroborated by the simulations performed.
