- Item“Determinación del estado de los recursos suelo y agua en zonas productoras comunitarias de leche de Guaytacama y Toacazo del Cantón Latacunga”(Ecuador : Latacunga : Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Pilliza Guanotasig, Nelly Patricia; Chasi Vizuete, Wilman PaoloDairy production is one of the most important agricultural sectors for the country. This activity generates approximately 1.4 billion dollars per year. According to (MAG, 2023), the Cotopaxi province produces 737,702 liters of which approximately 60% comes from community production that could be increased with better management of its productive resources. This research had as aimed to determine the status of soil and water resources in community producer áreas of milk in the Guaytacama and Toacazo parishes in the Cotopaxi province, for the fulfillment of it the study was proposed analyzing the chemical characteristics N, P, Ca, K, Na, EC, and pH in saturated soil paste througt the use of Ionometros LAQUAtwin, the percentage of OM (Organic Material), and the ASI (Aggregate Stability Index) using the calcination method and the technology application SLAKES, respectively, for water source parameters such as pH, EC, T°, DO, was performed with a multiparameter meter HANNA HI98194. From the obtained data, it was established that the Guaytacama and Toacazo areas have an average in pH of 6.26. EC, 185.25 dS*m –1. Nitrogen 234.5 ppm. Calcium 49.53 ppm. Sodium 22.95 ppm. Potassium 57.45 ppm. Phosphorus 80.77 ppm. Organic Matter 1.83%. Aggregate Stability 0.63. The data obtained from the water pH have an average of 7.96, EC, 506.78, temperature 15.45°C, and DO, 142.32 it indicates that the values are suitable for pasture production, they will help to provide a real characterization of the community dairy production system and generate sustainable strategies to improve production by enhancing the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil and water used in this community production sector in the studied áreas.
