    The sole purpose of this thesis was to investigate the preschool or kindergarten level, as it is the foundation for the acquisition of new knowledge, especially since English is a second language. After analyzing the current teaching situation at this level, we believe it is important to include in this work some theoretical content that will guide preschool education, such as its conceptualization, characteristics, developmental profile, the setting in which it develops, play activities as a motivation for the senses, and their effects. It also includes the teaching of the English language, with the characteristics of its skills, methods, techniques, and activities conducive to learning it.

    We are very sure that the theme "Methods and Techniques of Active Learning in the English Language in the "José Peralta" National High school of Mulalillo, Salcedo for the period 2.004-2005 has vital importance for all whom are immerses in the improvement of the quality education in Ecuador. That is why we confirmed the explained information during the process of the investigation that we present in a synthetic way. The general objective that we established at the beginning of our work was: "to establish strategies for the development of the Active Learning in the English Language", the same way the specific objects such as to analyze and to identify the Methods and Techniques of Active Learning applied in the learning process and which were completed in a satisfactory way. According to the Authorities criterion we can indicate that they are in total agreement in manifesting that the education should be integral and according to the scientific and technological advances where the English Language represents an important part in the education and that with the Application of Methods and Active Techniques taught by the Teachers, will help students to acquire more significant leaming
