“Evaluación de un modelo de optimización para el despacho económico de micro redes aisladas utilizando escenarios de entrada aleatorios”
(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi: (UTC), 2024-08) Rea Tonato, Jhoao Alexander; Jiménez Jiménez, Diego Leonardo
This work addresses the economic dispatch of an isolated microgrid, using distributed generation that is composed of non-conventional renewable energy sources NCRE in combination with a diesel generator and a BESS battery storage. Random input scenarios were used where, based on real data from one-year, synthetic series of solar radiation and wind speed were generated using the Monte Carlo method. Three scenarios were generated, one where the generated series are less than the average, the second where the series are adjusted to the average, and the last where the series are greater than the average. The demand and meteorological data are real records from the city of Latacunga, Ecuador. A mixed integer linear optimization model MILP was developed, where the nonlinear behavior of the diesel generator was expressed linearly through piecewise linearization. The economic dispatch was resolved for 24 hours, where in the first scenario the contribution to supplying the demand is 32% of solar power, 18% of the BESS, <1% of the wind power and 50% of the diesel generator, in the Second scenario, there is 33% solar power, 21% BESS, 4% wind power and 42% diesel generator. Finally, in scenario 3, the demand is supplied by 58% by solar power, 30% by the BESS, 5% by wind power and 30% by the diesel generator.
