    Nowadays, in the field of automation, the control of servomotors has become a very important subject due to its high complexity. Therefore, this project focuses on the objective of developing an RS-232 communication network between multi-brand PLCs for the monitoring and control of a servomotor. The collection of data about automation and industrial networks, communication topologies, communication standards, automation equipment, and man-machine interface was carried out; this collection allows for advancement in the evaluation for the selection of equipment and data transmission mode where then a physical communication standard RS-232 is established for its ability to transmit data point to point in addition to its simplicity and robustness. In this communication, the S7-1200 PLC acts as the master, sending a request to the INVT slave PLC. This configuration allows proper control of the servomotor parameters, including speed, position, and direction of rotation. This transmission and reception of data is validated by an oscilloscope with which we determine that the voltage signals are within the ranges admitted by the standard.
