    In the parish of November 11, province of Cotopaxi, the province of Cotopaxi is in a difficult situation because the residents of the sector do not receive a fair price for the sale of milk. The economic results show a sales price of 0.39 cents per liter. Monthly milk income is approximately $171.22, thus having a benefit of $109.56 per month. This situation has forced producers in the region to look for additional sources of economic income. In this way, a study was carried out in the parish of September to November 2023. The daily weight gain according to the results obtained, the animal that showed the highest genetic value (EBV) in weight gain is Marquesa, with 333.99 g per day, a precision level of 0 .51. In milk production at 305 days, the best cow for this phenotype is Diana (4803.46 kg/cow), as well as in density and milk quality is Marquesa, a 4-year-old Mestizo cow that produces 12 liters of milk per lactation. . The genetic value of milk density (4.99 g/ml) with a precision level of 0.50, the study focused on working with 12 producers dedicated to milk production and 31 cows were evaluated, including dairy cows, cows . Dry, calves and cows, maintained with a management method such as grazing. It is suggested to implement a genetic improvement program and monitor it to optimize future results.
