Based on the conducted studies, several weaknesses were identified, which motivated the proposal to implement ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), document management, and the use of QR codes, which have facilitated the dissemination and management of data. Various authors were consulted to provide a clear and precise approach for the proposal directing the credit department. Data collection was carried out through a survey validated by experts, which allowed for the acquisition of relevant details for the advancement of the project. A questionnaire with 25 items based on the Likert scale was designed, aimed at diagnosing the current situation of the financial institution concerning credit processes. The population and sample included 22 employees. The results revealed that 100% of the workers believe that a more dynamic software for data collection is needed, 59% indicated that procedures need simplification in credit management and delinquency, and 55% pointed out the need for technological support to improve customer service. Additionally, 80% of employees do not know or do not understand how the QR code works, and 70% do not employ adequate techniques and practices in document management. In conclusion, the determinants of the current situation in credit production revealed weaknesses that can be improved to achieve proper information management.
