“Identificación morfológica y molecular de una cepa nativa de (trichoderma spp) 2023-2024”
(Ecuador : Latacunga : Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Tenelema Tenelema, Cristian Fabricio; Chancusig Espin, Edwin Marcelo
The objective of this research work was to determine the characteristics through morphological characterization and to identify the species and genus based on a molecular analysis of a native strain of Trichoderma spp., stored in the microbiology laboratory of the Agronomy Department at the Technical University of Cotopaxi. To achieve this, multiplication techniques were employed, following appropriate protocols, including the use of a scalpel and inoculation loop. It was demonstrated that the use of the scalpel was the most effective method for obtaining Trichoderma spp. Additionally, an antibiotic such as Gentamicin was used, and this application showed low contamination and higher sterility in the purified fungal strains. In the results from the purified Trichoderma spp. plates, the morphological structures displayed the presence of characteristics such as mycelium, hyphae, conidia, and conidiophores. Subsequently, the strains selected based on their degree of purification were sent to the BIOHACK UIO laboratory, located in Quito, for molecular identification analysis. The results obtained indicated the presence of a single fungal strain, where the species and genus were identified as Trichoderma asperellum. Therefore, this research will contribute to a deeper understanding of the characterization of Trichoderma asperellum, facilitating its effective use in the biological control of agricultural and forestry pests and diseases, promoting sustainable practices and long-term harmony with the biosphere in the responsible and agroecological management of agricultural systems.
