INIAP y cuatro líneas promisorias INIAP en el Campus Salache de la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi, 2023-2024”(Ecuador : Latacunga : Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Tercero Guaman, Lennin Omar; Torres Miño, Carlos JavierThe present research is focused on evaluating the agronomic performance of a variety of naked barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), INIAP and four promising INIAP lines in the Salache campus of Technical University of Cotopaxi, taking into account agronomic conditions of the site under study. The purpose was to find lines with better adaptability, resistance and yield for the production of this cereal in the area. A completely randomized design (DBCA) was used with three replications and five treatments in plots of 3.6 m2 with a total of 15 experimental units. Variables such as emergence, plant vigor, growth habit, days to bolting, plant height, straw type, ear size, number of grains per, ear yield, specific hectoliter weight, grain type and color, disease reaction, rusts, fusarium, dwarfing virus, were evaluated in the cereal evaluation and selection parameter, which helps to determine each of the evaluation variables. For data analysis, a normality test and Tukey at 5% were used for variance analysis, and for scale variables, a table of averages was used. The obtained data determined the parameter with the best yield was CD-19-006 with an average of 43348.93 k/g ha-1 followed by the promising line CD-19-010 with a yield of 4162.43 k/g ha-1 as opposed to the promising line CD-19-011 with a yield of 3206.63 k/g ha-1 and the other line CD-19-007 with a yield of 2949.42 k/g ha-1 and the INIAP-ATAHUALPA 92 variety with a yield of 2243.23 k/g ha-1. With the obtained data the line with the best yield for the study site is the variety CD-19-006 since it maintains its standard and has not been degraded that it is advisable to continue investigating this variety and other lines.
