The first objective is based on investigating the tourist attractions of the parishes and then inventorying them using the Methodology for the survey of tourist attractions in Ecuador, in order to create a database with new points of interest. A total of 5 new attractions were discovered through the review of documents of Latacunga’s Plan de Desarrollo y Ordenamiento (PDYOT). After verifying their current status through field trips, 10 new attractions were identified and added to the inventory using the MINTUR registration form. Once all the attractions were inventoried, the second objective was to design tourism products according to the attractions analyzed in each of the territories, following the methodology proposed by PROMPERÚ in the Manual for the Development of Tourism Products; an analysis of Buenaventura and Eloy Alfaro parishes was developed, thus presenting the main characteristics for the respective analysis of the tourism market. Through a 15 questions survey applied in the tourist points of each parish, that is, at San Buenaventura’s church and Latacunga’s Train Station, which resulted in a national tourist and especially belonging to the province of Cotopaxi, with an age range between 36 -45 years, with a medium income level and with interest in the cultural part of the city. Then the tourism products were conceptualized, and finally the products were designed based on the manual, resulting in two products consisting of a Half Day respectively with different themes. The third objective seeks to propose strategies for the promotion and dissemination of the products proposed in objective two. The SWOT, MEFE, MEFI and MAFE matrices were applied to elaborate strategies based on the improvement of the tourist infrastructure, safety for tourists at the tour points, health services and tourist package offerings.
