    Banana production constitutes one of the most relevant economic activities in Ecuador, especially in the province of Cotopaxi, where Agrícola San José is located. In this sense, the general objective of this study is to analyze the internal control system in the banana production area of Agrícola San José. As part of the methodology applied in this research project, descriptive research, qualitative research and quantitative research were used. The analytical method, the deductive method and the inductive method were also used. Additionally, the interview questionnaire with the company manager was used as research instruments, who provided valuable information about current practices and procedures in the company. It is important to state that the COSO 1 Internal Control model was used effectively to evaluate internal control in the banana production area at Agricola San José. The results obtained from the Internal Control report to the company Agricola San José. reflects a satisfactory overall performance, with some areas of opportunity that must be addressed to further strengthen the organization's management. It is concluded that there are deficiencies in the administrative area of the company. It is recommended to implement the procedures manual proposed in this research.
