- ItemInteligencia artificial en el proceso de reclutamiento y selección del talento humano en cooperativas de ahorro y crédito de Latacunga.(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Moyota Santacruz, Marcela Dejhaneyra; Tupiza Pujos, Melany Domenica; Tinajero Jiménez, Marlon RubénThe main objective of the work entitled “Artificial Intelligence in the Recruitment and Selection Process of Human Talent in Savings and Credit Cooperatives from Latacunga”, it has as main aim to theorize about the artificial intelligence (IA) role in the recruitment and selection processes within these institutions. It also seeks to diagnose the use current state this technology in the Savings and Credit Cooperatives of segment two from Latacunga canton, and to establish the conditions, what favor its effective adoption in said processes. To carry out this research, it was used a qualitative methodology. Primary data were got, through interviews with the human talent units heads in the cooperatives. These interviews allow to get a current practices detailed insight and perceptions regarding the IA use in staff recruitment and selection. Additionally, it was complemented the research with secondary data extracted from reliable academic sources and works by leading authors in the artificial intelligence field applied to human talent management. The most relevant findings indicate, what artificial intelligence has the potential to significantly transform recruitment and selection processes in the cooperatives. In particular, it was observed, which IA can reduce the time and costs associated with these activities, to eliminate favoritism and subjective biases, and improve both the accuracy and decisions quality related to staff selection. These advantages are especially valuable in a competitive and constantly evolving environment, such as the current one. This research contributes to closing an important gap in knowledge about the IA application in the recruitment and selection field in Savings and Credit Cooperatives, providing a solid theoretical basis and practical guidelines for future research and applications in this field. As a result, it is proposed a practical guide for the IA adoption in these processes, by highlighting the optimal conditions and current trends, what facilitate its effective implementation. Finally, it is underlined, what the IA proper adoption not only optimizes human talent management processes, but also offers a key competitive advantage for cooperatives in an increasingly globalized market. When implemented correctly, IA can maximize efficiency, reduce bias and improve decision-making in the staff selection, thereby strengthening the competitive capacity from cooperatives in an increasingly demanding environment.
