- ItemAnálisis del uso y la producción de la energía eléctrica de un sistema híbrido fotovoltaico-eólico en la azotea de un edificio de educación(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica e Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Vaca Ortega, Gabriel Alejandro; Salazar Achig, Edgar RobertoThe project presents the feasibility of implementing a hybrid electricity generation system that combines wind and photovoltaic sources on the rooftop of a building at the Instituto Superior Tecnológico Tungurahua, in response to high energy consumption costs and power outages in Ecuador. The main objective is to carry out an analysis of the use and production of electrical energy through simulations, in order to reduce the billing of consumption in educational facilities. The methodology employed includes a quantitative approach, with phases that cover the collection of data on the electrical demand and historical consumption of the building, as well as the measurement of climatic variables using a weather station. A coincidence analysis between energy use and generation will be carried out, followed by the modeling and simulation of the hybrid system using specialized software. The results will allow evaluating the technical, economic and environmental viability of the project, identifying the system's capacity to reduce electricity consumption and generate significant monetary savings for the institution. This study will not only contribute to the energy sustainability of the campus but will also serve as a replicable model for other educational institutions in the country, promoting the use of renewable energies and energy efficiency in the Ecuadorian context.
