- ItemRevisión sistemática de la optimización de procesos industriales mediante la aplicación de realidad aumentada.(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi: (UTC), 2024-08) Vallejo Pilataxi, Marjury Aracely; Naranjo Robalino, José EzequielUsing the PRISMA methodology, a systematic review was carried out to exhaustively evaluate the optimization of industrial processes through the application of augmented reality (AR), one of the key technologies of Industry 4.0. Specific objectives include characterizing successful AR implementations in several industrial processes, comparing different hardware, graphics engines and associated costs, and determining the percentage of optimization achieved through AR. To Eligibility criteria, articles in English published between 2019 and 2024 were defined that provide significant contributions to AR applications in engineering. The databases that were included are Scopus, SpringerLink, IEEExplore and MDPI. The Cochrane method was used to evaluate bias. The rigorous selection process resulted in the inclusion of 38 articles. Key findings indicate that AR reduces errors and execution times, improves efficiency and productivity, and optimizes training and maintenance processes, leading to cost savings and quality improvement. Unity 3D is the most used graphics engine for AR applications. The main applications of AR are in maintenance, assembly, training and inspection area. Maintenance is being the most researched area. Challenges include learning curve, high initial costs, and hardware limitations.
