Some schools treat community engagement as an idea, others take it seriously and develop plans to involve them. Now the participation of family parents and community members has become so important, even the success of the school, as lesson planning, classroom instruction, and evaluation. This thesis attempts to answer, especially now, the series of questions and actions we should learn towards achieving the direct participation of family parents and the community, but never when schools are under low public scrutiny, it also helped us to find explanations of why and how to improve our ways of life, attitudes and behaviors at a personal, family and community level. For the purpose of the investigation, we have chosen the "Vencedores" school in the canton city of the same name in the province of Pichincha. We have worked with a population sample of 35 family parents, 5 educators and 35 7-year-old students, among the research instruments we have applied are: surveys, direct observations. As a basic conclusion, it can be stated that in order to achieve a better school performance, it is necessary the direct participation of family parents in the control of extracurricular activities that we should encourage from home and school. The main proposal to promote and sustain the participation of family parents is to drive community work campaigns through "Workshops for Parents" to detect the main needs of the environment and jointly provide solutions to educational problems based on the understanding of the need to participate in educational activities.
