    Propuesta de rediseño de layout de la bodega de almacenamiento de la empresa Bitrodiagnóstico para la optimización del espacio, mejora del flujo interno y cumplimiento de la normativa ARCSA

    This research aimed to develop a proposal to redesigning the warehouse layout of Bitrodiagnóstico Cía. Ltda., focused on optimizing product accessibility, improving internal flow of materials, and strengthening compliance with requirements established by ARCSA regulations. To achieve this, a diagnosis of the current warehouse conditions was carried out through a verification matrix based on Inspection Guide for Certification of Good Storage, Distribution, and Transportation Practices (BPADT), identifying opportunities for improvement related to organization area, traceability, information management, and physical distribution of space. Subsequently, Industrial Engineering tools such as ABC classification, material flow analysis, time and motion studies, and Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) methodology were applied. These tools made it possible to determine the warehouse distribution, circulation, and organizational requirements needed to improve its operational performance. As a result, a physical layout proposal was designed that incorporates functional areas aligned with company operational and regulatory requirements, improving accessibility to high-turnover products, reducing unnecessary travel distances, and promoting a more efficient receiving flow, storage, and dispatch activities. The proposal represents a viable technical alternative for strengthening logistics management and regulatory compliance at Bitrodiagnóstico.
