As for it has a major economic impact. In regard to this illness, it decreases bird productivity and causes diseases at the upper respiratory tract level. Owing to affecting the economy of both small producers and large industries, with losses that can reach up to 20% this being more frequent in backyard birds. Relative to the lack of technology and biosecurity protocols. Moreover, the target was, to evaluate the prevalence of mycoplasmosis in backyard birds in the rural parishes of Cotopaxi in this case, Angamarca, La Victoria, Tingo, Pilaló, Pujilí and Zumbahua. Likewise, a total of 115 samples were evaluated, which were randomly chosen and dispensed in all existing parishes. First, the blood samples were taken from the bird's brachial vein, then was stored respectively eventually, the serum was extracted and labeled. The author used an appropriate technique the same name was ELISA test. In favor of, obtaining the following positive results for Mycoplasma in the parishes where the highest prevalence was found in Pilaló and Zumbahua 10.43%, followed by La Victoria with 7.83%, Angamarca accompanied by 1.78%, Tingo escorted by 1.74%. And Pujilí, with 0 positive cases. In adittion, by using the chi square statistical method,in the company of a significance level of 0.05, calculated chi square values of 0.32 were obtained for the sex factor and 3.70 for the vaccination factor, being lower than the critical value which in both cases was 3.84. Actually, discarding its dependence on the presence of the illness. That is to say, no significant association was found between the variables. As well as an epidemiological map was also established that allows the distribution of positive cases to be visualized throughout the Pujilí canton.
