    “La migración y su influencia en el desarrollo psicosocial de los estudiantes”

    The study aimed to determine the impact of parental migration on the psychosocial development of fourth-year students at the Unidad Educativa Agustín Albán in the Guápulo neighborhood, Pujilí Canton, Cotopaxi Province. To achieve this, a qualitative methodology was employed, utilizing bibliographic research with an inductive approach and a narrative design. Data collection involved research techniques and tools such as interviews and interview guides. The results indicated that the influence of migration on students' psychosocial development is due to various factors, including economic, social, political, and personal aspects. These issues have devastating consequences, particularly for children, manifesting as sadness, lack of motivation both academically and personally, emotional instability, insecurity, and lack of support, all of which affect their development. These narratives provide a deep understanding of the challenges and needs faced by children, disrupting their adaptation in various aspects of life. Finally, five life stories of children with migrant parents were compiled to raise awareness among parents or guardians. These personal stories aim to encourage greater emotional, social, and academic support for the children.
