| dc.description | This research project was carried out with the objective of selecting and developing a system of environmental sustainability indicators in the rural parish of Tanicuchí, Ecuador, in which it was carried out in two stages; The first was based on a qualitative study through bibliographic review, biophysical characterization and geographic information files of the study area. The second phase was carried out in information gathering through a quantitative study on the state of the ecosystems, environmental, economic and social problems of this place, at the same time, the tabulation of the variables was analyzed, which allowed the selection and development of indicators of environmental sustainability based on the economic needs of this rural area of the province of Cotopaxi, which allow guaranteeing the conservation of the natural resources of this place, based on evaluating the progress of socio-environmental sustainability following as a guide the Ecuadorian Environmental Regulations. For the development of the first phase, the methodology with a qualitative approach was used, for the elaboration of georeferential maps, in the collection of information the methodology with a quantitative approach was used, starting from surveys and interviews carried out with the population. Once the responses of the techniques used for the selection of environmental sustainability indicators were tabulated, a total of 24 indicators were generated, of which 12 are aimed at environmental activities in the areas of conservation and use of soil, air, water, biodiversity, waste management, 8 indicators aimed at the social sphere, encompassing employment, population growth, road access, 4 economic indicators, including sustainable livestock and consumer price index; Finally, mitigation, remediation and environmental monitoring measures are elaborated and established, with the objective of reducing the existing problems of the selected components, in order to promote sustainable development of the Tanicuchí parish.. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Este proyecto de investigación se realizó con el objetivo de seleccionar y desarrollar un sistema de indicadores de sostenibilidad ambiental en la parroquia rural de Tanicuchí, Ecuador, en el cual se llevó a cabo en dos etapas; El primero se basó en un estudio cualitativo mediante revisión bibliográfica, caracterización biofísica y fichas de información geográfica del área de estudio. La segunda fase se realizó en levantamiento de información a través de un estudio cuantitativo sobre el estado de los ecosistemas, problemática ambiental, económica y social de este lugar, al mismo tiempo se analizó la tabulación de las variables que permitió la selección y elaboración de indicadores de sostenibilidad ambiental basados en las necesidades económicas de esta zona rural de la provincia de Cotopaxi, que permitan garantizar la conservación de los recursos naturales de este lugar, con base en evaluar el avance de la sostenibilidad socioambiental siguiendo como guía la Normativa Ambiental Ecuatoriana. Para el desarrollo de la primera fase se utilizó la metodología con enfoque cualitativo, para la elaboración de mapas georreferenciales, en la recolección de información se utilizó la metodología con enfoque cuantitativo, partiendo de encuestas y entrevistas realizadas a la población. Una vez tabuladas las respuestas de las técnicas utilizadas para la selección de indicadores de sustentabilidad ambiental, se generaron un total de 24 indicadores, de los cuales 12 están dirigidos a actividades ambientales en las áreas de conservación y uso de suelo, aire, agua, biodiversidad, residuos gestión, 8 indicadores dirigidos al ámbito social, que engloban empleo, crecimiento demográfico, acceso vial, 4 indicadores económicos, entre ellos ganadería sostenible e índice de precios al consumidor; Finalmente, se elaboran y establecen medidas de mitigación, remediación y vigilancia ambiental, con el objetivo de reducir la problemática existente de los componentes seleccionados, con el fin de promover el desarrollo sostenible de la parroquia Tanicuchí. | es_ES |
