| dc.description | The presence of Environmental Education in curricular training and the development of eco efficient measures that promote care for the environment are scarce at universities. The objective of this research work is to develop collaborative indicators of Environmental Education and Eco-efficiency that strengthen environmental processes on the La Matriz campus of the Cotopaxi Technical University through the execution of a diagnosis, bibliographic review, and the application of the PER model (pressure, status, response). Firstly, we applied 14 interviews on Environmental Education to the campus directors, whichwere coded through the Altas.ti program, in addition, 58 surveys to campus departments questioning the management of office supplies and the consumption of water, electricity, fossil fuels, and connectivity, then with the application of the PER method according to the information collected and the construction of the system of indicators. As a result of the investigation, we evidenced that Environmental Education on the La Matriz campus is limited, at the curricular, budgetary, and investigative levels; in the field of eco-efficiency less than 50% of the offices recycle and reuse, the level of water consumption is acceptable, but there is high consumption of electricity, paper and plastic. Based on the diagnosis and bibliographic compilation, we generated a collaborative system made up of 50 indicators, 22 corresponding to eco-efficiency and 28 to Environmental Education. In conclusion, the use of the system of indicators would encourage institutional sustainable development because the university community at La Matriz does not receive adequate information, awareness, or environmental culture. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | En las Instituciones de Educación Superior es escasa la presencia de Educación Ambiental en la formación curricular, y de igual manera el desarrollo de medidas ecoeficientes que fomenten el cuidado al ambiente. El presente trabajo investigativo tiene como objetivo desarrollar indicadores colaborativos de Educación Ambiental y Ecoeficiencia que afiancen los procesos ambientales en el campus La Matriz de la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi, mediante la ejecución de un diagnóstico, revisión bibliográfica y la aplicación del modelo PER (presión, estado, respuesta). En primer lugar, se aplicaron 14 entrevistas sobre Educación Ambiental a los directivos de todas las carreras del campus, las cuales se codificaron por medio del programa Altas.ti, además 58 encuestas a departamentos del campus acerca del manejo de insumos de oficina y recopilación de información en relación al consumo de agua, luz, combustibles fósiles y conectividad, luego se procedió con la aplicación del método PER según la información recopilada y posterior construcción del sistema de indicadores. Como resultado de la investigación se evidencio que la Educación Ambiental en el campus La Matriz es limitada, a nivel curricular, presupuestal, e investigativa, en el ámbito de ecoeficiencia menos del 50% de las oficinas llevan a cabo prácticas de reciclaje y reutilización, el nivel de consumo de agua es aceptable, pero existen elevados consumos de electricidad, papel y plástico. En base al diagnóstico y recopilación bibliográfica, se generó el sistema colaborativo conformado por 50 indicadores, 22 correspondientes a ecoeficiencia y 28 a Educación Ambiental. En conclusión, dentro del campus La Matriz no se difunde suficiente contenido, conciencia y cultura ambiental a la comunidad universitaria, por lo que la aplicación del sistema de indicadores promovería del desarrollo sostenible institucional. | es_ES |
