    Diseño y construcción de un pico generador eólico en el relleno sanitario San Pedro de Jachaguango del cantón Salcedo provincia de Cotopaxi (Registro nro. 6279)

    The project undertaken was to provide electricity, for non-traditional way, at "San Pedro the Jachauguango" sanitary landfill, in Salcedo Canton, Cotopaxi Province. This is a plentiful, renewable and clean resources. It produces a green energy which reduces the environmental impact. This renewable energy is vital in our fight against climate change, and technologies such as wind. It can help build a sustainable energy generation for the future. This research started with the study of the wind resource in the area. This study was conducted for a period of twelve months which makes evident the characteristic winds during the seasons that Ecuador has in a year. Subsequently, we analyzed electricity demand that requires the ecological auditorium lighting system within that sanitary landfill. After this event the potential wind and demand that we need, it was analyzed the feasibility of construction or acquisition of peak wind generator equipment, taking as parameters to be considered of materials cost and construction time, and delivery time. According these considerations, it was determined that acquired system is the most economical. In addition, it takes less time to implement it, so that we were designed the necessary steps according to the demand of the lighting system. It was operated in assembly.
