The lack of strategies and didactic resources used by teachers prevents achieving meaningful learning in children, this negatively affecting their learning and resulting in low academic performance. Inclusive education is a process that allows children with disabilities to actively participate in the teaching-learning process, to develop their skills and potentialities. The present research project aims to analyze the inclusive culture in the teaching and learning process in students with intellectual disabilities at the “Isidro Ayora” Basic Education school in the Latacunga canton. The methodology used was qualitative based on the inductive method with field and descriptive research, whose data were obtained through the observation and interview technique, applying the observation guide and interview guide, which allowed to collect relevant information. The results of the analysis developed with the data obtained in the institution allowed to identify that teachers theoretically know about inclusion and intellectual disability, but this is not reflected in classroom practices and activities with students who have this disability.
